Being busy is a wonderful thing, but I'm feeling guilty that it's been so long since I've updated the blog! I'm absolutely thrilled to share with you a shoot that I put my heart and soul into! Local photographer, Jen Wojcik, and I were dying to do a photo shoot at the Salton Sea with a soft, muted palette. We teamed up with some wonderful local wedding vendors and road tripped to the middle of nowhere and magic happened! Thank you to everyone who made this shoot possible! We are honored to have our shoot featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty! See the whole shoot and video here!! Everyone that knows me knows that I have always had a love and infatuation with Africa and even minored in African studies in college just because I loved learning about the culture so much. I've had the idea tucked away for awhile about putting together my dream shoot inspired by Africa and the immense beauty. I didn't want to do it until I had the perfect team of people in place that I knew would be equally as passionate. I'm happy to say it was worth the wait for the team of amazing talent that came together!
I'm honored and thrilled that the discerning New Zealand magazine, Magnolia Rouge, wanted to feature 10 pages in their gorgeous magazine! AND 100 Layer Cake, in a joint promotion, is also featuring it today on their blog.

Check out the insanely amazing video by Amanda Madeline!! xoxo
I loved working with this amazing couple! Big thanks to the talented event designers, Pow Wow, for the intro! Susan & Todd not only utilized my hair & makeup service, but had me style their entire wedding wardrobe which was a little daunting at first when they told me there were 13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen!! It ended up being a smooth process & they put their complete trust in me which I appreciated. I wanted the wardrobe to reflect their very unique wedding & personalities. Todd is a botanist so we decided on earthy tones and mismatched looks for the bridal party. Since their look was so specific we had several of the looks for the guys custom made by local menswear company, Crow Thief. I loved helping them choose each swatch, thread and button that added to the specialness of their day. For the girls I put together a group of dresses and colors that didn't necessarily match, but complimented one another. This let each girl pick her own style & favorite fit, keeping everything about the day fun and laid back like Susan and Todd. We spent a lot of time over the past year and I feel like I've known them my entire life. I'm thrilled for them & the many more married adventure these two have ahead!!
I was honored to have this and other Thorne Artistry weddings & shoots featured on the blog for Exquisite Weddings magazine!
It was a total joy being a part of this outdoorsy/glam wedding! I worked with Wendy & Gary for 8 months on their wedding helping them with everything from their color palette (peach, blush, red, & slate blue) to the complete wardrobe as well as hair and makeup! Their openness and adventurous spirits shine though their stunning winery wedding. I was honored to have this wedding published on Ruffled Blog this week:) Wardrobe Styling, Hair & Makeup: Thorne Artistry // Photos: Ashley Kelemen Photography // Second Shooter: Jen Wojcik // Venue: Wiens Cellars // Event & Floral Design: RSVP Events // Vintage Rentals: Touched by Time
Here's a preview of an ultra romantic (my fave!) fall shoot that I did with a talented team of local vendors. I'm excited that it will be featured later this month on the fabulous wedding blog, 100 Layer Cake! This shoot makes me want to curl up next to the fire with some apple cider and a good book! :) Photos | Morgan Lamkin Hair & Makeup | Thorne Artistry Florals | Modern Bouquet Rentals & Table styling | Folklore Vintage Rentals
I absolutely love this photo shoot collaboration with some of the most talented ladies in San Diego! We wanted to create a different and more romantic vision of boudoir. The goal was something incredibly feminine & soft and I adore how it turned out! The perfect backdrop was the historic Darlington House in La Jolla. Just getting to style this shoot was magical, but having it published on the front page of my favorite wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, was the cherry on top!! I just received the incredible photos from Aubrey & Mason's beachy, boho wedding from a few weeks ago. Aubrey was married on a Tuesday and wanted a very laid back and relaxed wedding and it was so much fun to see her vision come to life! I absolutely love when a couple stays true to themselves and makes every detail personal. You can see the joy and love in their day and I'm so honored that I could play a small part in the process :) Photo: The Hearts Haven | Hair, makeup & headpiece: Thorne Artistry
This is one for the books! Justine & Dave's gorgeous wedding at Leo Carrillo Ranch is stunning and I just HAD to share with you their incredible day! I love everything about this wedding and Justine's style. The Knot magazine agrees and featured this sweet couple in their magazine! This wedding was so much fun and how adorable is the photo of the bride and her identical twin sister!!

I can't express how amazing this shoot was to create! Melanie contacted me & told me that she wanted a fully styled family shoot with her husband Jim and their adorable daughter, Mahaila. I absolutely love designing photo shoots, especially one with Melanie's theme of Rustic glam! I was inspired by her daughter's black tutu and decided to make Melanie a similar black dress as well as a fun and flirty white skirt. How photogenic is this family!? Such an amazing day and they were all so much fun!

Allyson is my amazing Portland bride who is a girl after my own heart! Not only was she a dream to work with, but I LOVED her style and out-of-the-box wedding! Her stunning flower crown was SO beautiful on her and her now husband Andy had some sweet style too! Photo: Melissa Biador Photogrpahy // Event Design & Coordination: W.E.D (weddings.events.design)
I was contacted by a local wedding planner to come up with several wardrobe/hair/makeup looks for this amazing Spanish-inspired bridal shoot that was held at The Darlington House in La Jolla. Whenever there is a challenge thrown my way I dive right in and love every moment of the creative process. There were 3 different looks that I wanted to capture in this photo shoot. All of the looks had a romantic, and innocent quality. Soft colors, lace, intricate details all felt timeless and elegant. It was such a great experience working with some of the best wedding vendors in San Diego and also having this photo shoot featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs, 100 Layer Cake. To see more of this shoot & the published feature you can check it out here!
This Mod-inspired fashion shoot was incredible! This photo shoot is a nod to the sophisticated side of the 1960’s. We found an amazing vintage Dior halter top at a thrift store that set the tone perfectly and as always we love working with Sandra Nicole Designs who have the best selection of jewelry and accessories to choose from! It didn’t hurt that our gorgeous model actually looks a lot like 1960’s icon, Twiggy! The stunning photography is by Joielala; Jewelry provided by Sandra Nicole Designs; Hair, Makeup and Wardrobe styling by Thorne Artistry.
