When Cheri contacted me about doing her hair and makeup for her wedding I was so excited! I loved her soft color palette, dress and her incredible location at Cabrillo National Park. I didn't meet Cheri until the day of her wedding, but I knew from our emails that I was going to love her. My suspicion was confirmed. She was the nicest person and we hit it off immediately. I absolutely love this photo shoot collaboration with some of the most talented ladies in San Diego! We wanted to create a different and more romantic vision of boudoir. The goal was something incredibly feminine & soft and I adore how it turned out! The perfect backdrop was the historic Darlington House in La Jolla. Just getting to style this shoot was magical, but having it published on the front page of my favorite wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, was the cherry on top!! I just received the incredible photos from Aubrey & Mason's beachy, boho wedding from a few weeks ago. Aubrey was married on a Tuesday and wanted a very laid back and relaxed wedding and it was so much fun to see her vision come to life! I was so happy when I finally had the chance to meet Lauren at our trial appointment! We had traded several emails and were trying to find a time to meet since I was 9 months pregnant and she lives in St. Louis! She was finally able to make it to San Diego before her wedding & everything came together including her gorgeous wedding look that was so glamorous! She chose a red lip and an old Hollywood hair style that couldn't have been more perfectly suited for her. She had a vision and it came together beautifully. There are some people you meet and you can immediately see their inner glow and love of life. Gretchen is one of those people and she was such a joy to work with! From the beginning, I loved her positive energy and contagious smile. She was in the midst of a stressful time planning a wedding from Washington, D.C. (where she lived) and found out that she had to make a move to Kentucky for a new job! When I met her and her mother at her hair and makeup trial I was amazed that she was so calm and I could tell that she was really enjoying the moment. It was a pleasure and an honor to be a small part of her beautiful wedding day with her lovely family and friends. Melanie & Jim | Family shoot
I can't express how amazing this shoot was to create! Melanie contacted me & told me that she wanted a fully styled family shoot with her husband Jim and their adorable daughter, Mahaila. I absolutely love designing photo shoots, especially one with Melanie's theme of Rustic glam! I was inspired by her daughter's black tutu and decided to make Melanie a similar black dress as well as a fun and flirty white skirt. How photogenic is this family!? Such an amazing day and they were all so much fun!

Jenna & Steven | Married
I was flattered to be asked by a wedding industry friend to do hair & makeup for her wedding. The talented Jenna from Flutterglass Photography made the most enchanting bride! She brought along some flowers and asked me to create a whimsical look on the day of her wedding. The woven braid with flowers suited Jenna perfectly and was a beautiful compliment to her garden-themed wedding. I love the romantic and ethereal feel that she chose! A beauty on the inside & out!
Spanish Wedding Inspiration
I was contacted by a local wedding planner to come up with several wardrobe/hair/makeup looks for this amazing Spanish-inspired bridal shoot that was held at The Darlington House in La Jolla. Whenever there is a challenge thrown my way I dive right in and love every moment of the creative process. There were 3 different looks that I wanted to capture in this photo shoot. All of the looks had a romantic, and innocent quality. Soft colors, lace, intricate details all felt timeless and elegant. It was such a great experience working with some of the best wedding vendors in San Diego and also having this photo shoot featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs, 100 Layer Cake. Megan & Jason | Married
I didn't meet Megan until 3 days before her wedding! She lives in Chicago and when I met her she was just as wonderful as I knew she would be. We had our Midwest roots in common and hit it off immediately. What impressed me about Megan is that she was laid back and enjoyed every moment of her planning. Thankfully, she put together a Pinterest board of her style and I had a good idea of the look she was going for on her big day. She looked stunning in the peach colors and her braided bun that defined her wedding and her personal style. This group of girls were so wonderful to work with and we laughed a lot that morning:) Such a beautiful day and a beautiful couple! Congrats to Jason and Megan and a lifetime of happiness!

Thorne Artistry had the chance to work with Pacific San Diego Magazine for the December issue that hit newsstands last week! We had an exciting day with professional surfer, Anastasia Ashley, who was so much fun to work with! We took a limo bus all over San Diego and hit some surfing hot spots & you could tell she was in her element! It was amazing to see this natural surf girl channel her inner glam! Fashion Styling | Modern Vintage
If I could live in a make believe world of fashion and color, this is probably the one I would choose! I love the romance (yep, I'm a total sucker for the romantic vibe), nod to vintage, and all of the color! I absolutely love blending old with new and breathing new life into a vintage look. This photo shoot was captured by some of my favorite people (they are my friends & were my wedding photographers too!), Kim & Adam Bamberg of La Vie Photography based in Seattle. They are the nicest people you will ever meet and incredibly talented to boot! This shoot was for local fashion designer,Veronica Scott, to show off her new collection,VEE, in her latest look book. I was thrilled to be a part of this photo shoot that embodies everything that I love. Thanks to Coffee & Tea collective and Citrine for the hospitality!
